Acid Row
Acid Row’s roots go all the way back to 2009, when a group of friends from the Pilsen region decided to start a band — back then still under the name Project 76 and heavily inspired by the Seattle grunge scene of the ’90s. Over time, though, their taste began drifting toward heavier guitar riffs, slower tempos, and a sound with a lot more weight behind it.
By 2011, the line-up had settled, and under the new name Acid Row the band began adding their own dose of thick stoner-rock melodies and wild, high-energy live shows to the Pilsen scene. The kind of shows where the stage definitely does not get to stay calm for long.
Their first recording saw the light of day in 2016: the four-track EP Bad Delivery. Since then, the band has been actively playing live and has supported acts such as Acid Witch and Egypt. Two years later, they released their debut album Spikes, which also came out on vinyl via Beatcraft Records in cooperation with Slush Records and Day After Records.
Shortly after the release, drummer Lukáš Sedlák decided to leave the band. His place was taken by Venca Zlo — and Acid Row have been rolling in that line-up ever since.
